The final accounts of the year transmitted in Sir Matthew Nathan's Despatch No. 61 of 22nd March, 1907, showed a reduction of $92,337, or a balance of Assets amounting to $652,236. According to the revised Estimates for 1907 ordinary and extraordinary Revenue is expected to yield $6,651,258 or $203,233 more than was expected. Moreover, a reduction of $563,591 is anticipated on the total Expenditure which was originally estimated at $6,431,740. These estimates, if realised, will result in a surplus of Revenue on 31st December, 1907, amounting to $783,109 which together with the balance of Assets on 31st December, 1906, will give a balance of Assets on 31st December, 1907, of $1,435,345.
11. The division of the various items of revenue and expenditure into classes and the addition of a table of contents as well as some other minor alterations serve to render the Estimates more compact and intelligible.
